This is where almost every picture a restaurant takes itself falls down. A dish that is perfect on the table is not yet perfect in front of a camera: it has to be cooked differently, cut differently and built differently to hold up as an image. Then there is the lighting and the angle — two things you see immediately in the finished picture and that nobody plans for in a kitchen.
I do the food styling myself. It is not the part somebody else takes over; it is the part that happens before the first frame. Set design and composition are bookable in the inquiry.

- That is your call. The food inquiry asks for the number of dishes and the pictures you want per dish — together they set the scope of the session.
- Menu, website, social media, magazine or something else: the intended use is a required field on the inquiry, so it is agreed before anything is photographed.
- Three color looks: true-to-life and understated, vintage in black and white, or a high-gloss finish. You pick one on the inquiry and it applies to the whole set.
- Yes. The food inquiry asks specifically whether interior pictures of your place should come along. The restaurant page shows how food, rooms and team look together.
- Set design and image composition can be added as extras on the inquiry. There is a field for notes on the shoot, the food styling or the layout — with a briefing upload next to it.
- Both. The inquiry asks for the restaurant address when the shoot happens on location. Inside the inner zone of the Rhine-Main region there is no travel charge for it.
- I am based in Rüsselsheim am Main, in the middle of the Rhine-Main region: Frankfurt am Main, Wiesbaden, Mainz and Darmstadt are a short drive, as are Hofheim am Main, Eschborn, Neu-Isenburg and Weiterstadt. Hanau, Bad Homburg and Bad Vilbel sit in the outer zone; bookings across Germany and abroad are possible too. How travel is calculated is on the travel costs page.
