The city of contrast has always been marked by openness and by partial colors. In its international kitchen you can try regionally inspired cooking. A menu with a view of the Main. Enjoy your time and let the Frankfurter Botschaft look after you. You can enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner, an evening with your loved ones, a successful business deal or a meeting with friends. The Frankfurter Botschaft makes your event something special.
This restaurant's argument is the water, and the pictures have to prove it without every frame becoming a panorama. So the terrace shot keeps the railing with its net in the picture and the harbor basin behind it: one detail says “on the water” more reliably than a wide view in which the Main is a blue band along the top edge.
The terrace is photographed empty and still reads as occupied, and that is down to the layers. From the low corner the gray cushions stack up with a pot of lavender, the table lamp, the conifers, the railing, the water and the neighbor's parasols — seven layers behind one another. A terrace photograph taken at eye level from the door would have shown the same furniture as a flat row.
The planting is more than green. Olive, conifer, lavender and rosemary are four different greens, and they separate the seating groups from each other. Which is exactly why they stand in the frame where there would otherwise be a gap.
The salmon on its gray plate follows the rule of fine dining: little food on a lot of porcelain. The empty area belongs in the picture, because the empty area is the design — a tight crop turns it into a small portion. And the plate is turned so that a single highlight runs along the fish. Without that reflection salmon is a matt orange rectangle; with it you can see that it is glazed.
