The running order, beforehand
We go through your timetable together before it is fixed. From a lot of weddings I know where a plan like that tips over — and a few minutes in the right place save you an hour of rushing on the day itself.

Coverage that thinks ahead
On the day I keep an eye on the schedule without making it hectic, arrange things with your witnesses, and settle with the venue what runs differently on a wedding day than on an ordinary evening.

Cinematic color grading
Every photograph and every frame of film is graded in the studio, with care and a look that lasts.

You get access to your protected online gallery and high-resolution downloads to share with the people you love.
At a wedding I am not only the photographer.
I keep an eye on the running order, arrange things with the witnesses, carry water and tissues, and settle with the restaurant what runs differently on a wedding day. Not because any of that is photography, but because a couple who has nothing to organize is actually present at their own day — and you can see that in the pictures afterwards.
Thinking ahead only works with experience. From a lot of weddings I know when it gets tight and what can be solved beforehand rather than repaired in the moment.

Patrick Schmetzer
On a wedding day, creativity mostly means staying out of the way. The day belongs to two people rather than to the camera, and the pictures that last are almost always made in between — a look before the ceremony, a gesture between two sentences.
Born in February 1990 in the USA, at home in Frankfurt am Main. I have photographed and filmed since I was fourteen, professionally since 2014. A wedding I cover in stills and in film from one hand — both made on the same day, in the same visual language.
