About me

Patrick Schmetzer Photographer and filmmaker from the Frankfurt area

Creator of quality designs and thinker of fresh ideas.

A young entrepreneur and a passionate photographer and filmmaker for more than twelve years, I have become known in the industry for an unusual style, through work with large corporations and hotel groups.

I learned early that believing in my own potential is the fuel for my creative energy, and that this energy is what turns dreams into real visions.

Photography and film give me the power to let everyday things shine as something irresistible, because beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. That passion for detail is what my images and film productions are made of.

The way I work

The first conversation is where I get to know you and your ideas. After it I visit the location we agreed on and put a concept together. Every project needs a consistent visual language, and I develop it with you. An individual color composition and the right light are a matter of course.

My work is more than pressing a shutter. Together we translate your ideas into images, films or layouts. Years of experience mean difficult or unusual conditions are workable ones. Creative thinking, technical know-how and an eye for detail are what my work is built on — and the result should exceed what you expected, not merely meet it.

My philosophy

My job is to arrive at a concept that matches what your company wants and needs. The aim is to strengthen your corporate communication and to carry its message audiovisually. Working closely with you comes first, because your goals are the ones we are reaching together.

The same company also builds software. Under the Nexentrium brand I develop platforms of my own for recruiting, agency operations and image production; as founder and CEO I am responsible for product and architecture there. It is the same way of working as behind the camera, in a different medium.

My passion

Traveling is not only something I enjoy; over the years it has become part of me. When daily routine closes in, the urge is to pack a bag and explore whatever is around me. By car or by plane, there is nothing more exciting than traveling for experiences and memories that stay.

New surroundings are fulfilling and instructive. They take me out of my comfort zone and let me meet other cultures.

The landscapes enrich every trip, and I try to capture the natural beauty of a place photographically. I love sharing those images to bring the story to life. Once the shot is made, I make a mental note and tick another breathtaking place off the list.

Traveling has made me a better person. I have learned to appreciate where I come from, because home is what makes me who I am. This passion has made me quieter and more humble, because it gave me a different view of the world.
