A classic car rally run by Klassik Garage Kronberg for B&K, covered from the air. The shot shows what a drive like this is about: a single classic car on a country road between fields and fruit trees, and nobody else. A rally is a moving target across many kilometers — you pick points along the route, you get there once, and you have to be ready when the car comes through.
On a rally a single car on an empty country road is the result of timing rather than luck. The cars come at intervals, and the gap between them is the window in which a frame without traffic happens.
From the air comes the second advantage: you see the road in front of and behind the car. A bend, a line of trees, a farm track — the landscape becomes the route, and the route explains why somebody takes a classic car out on a Saturday.
For the rest the rule of any tour applies: you cannot be everywhere. Points along the route are chosen in advance, and between two of them the camera travels faster than the field, or it arrives too late.
