The Klinik am Kurpark in Bad Nauheim is a renowned medical facility that offers first-class healthcare services to both locals and visitors from all over the world. Set in the picturesque countryside of Bad Nauheim, a town known for its healing springs and historic ambience, this clinic offers a blend of medical excellence and a relaxing spa ambience.
What was filmed is not the medicine but the stay: a guest in a light sweater with a cup in his hand stepping from the dining room onto the terrace, trees, parasols and the houses of the town in the reflection of the glass.
A clinic that also receives spa guests sells exactly that moment. Treatment is expected; what makes the difference is the afternoon in between — so the camera stands in the door between inside and outside rather than in a treatment room.
The glass front is subject and obstacle at once. It reflects the terrace into the interior and turns one frame into two planes; avoid it and you change the angle, use it and you get both sides of the house in a single shot.
