A short teaser for the Lavenue Bar in Frankfurt. The shot is unspectacular and right for exactly that reason: a guest laughing in front of the planted wall at the entrance, warm light and the street behind her. A mini teaser for social media has a few seconds and has to work without sound — a face carries that more reliably than any wide shot.
A planted wall at the entrance is a background that makes anyone in front of it look better. It has texture without pattern, it takes warm light, and it is the only surface outside a bar that does not read as street.
A mini teaser also has a fixed order: face, place, name. Show the place first and you lose the second in which somebody decides whether to keep watching — a laugh holds longer than a counter.
And working without sound means: no announcement, no musical punchline, no narrator. What is left is movement inside the frame, and it has to be strong enough that a video running silently still tells something.
