What was photographed is not only the house but the work inside it: a receptionist walking a guest through check-in, the chef filleting a fish on a green board, a steak and corn on the grill behind a row of herb pots, a hand plating the starters. Showing a hotel through its people is the second half of hotel photography — the first is the rooms, the second is the evidence that somebody works there.
