What was photographed: a double room with a balcony door onto the city, warm bedside light and a patterned carpet, and a maisonette suite with a curving staircase, a teal sofa and an abstract canvas on the wall. Rooms on the square side have one of the best-known views in the city — which makes every frame an exposure decision between the interior and the window.
