The company that made jewelry history was founded in 1947 by Karl Friedrich and is now located at Neue Rothofstraße 19 in Frankfurt am Main. The internationally known brand is run by gemologist Marc G. Stabernack. The joy of forging, design and the innovation of gold and silver complements the knowledge of precious stones and their aesthetic light.
One frame in the set is black and white and shows no jewelry at all, but guests: three women and two men behind the shop's glass front, one of them laughing mid-conversation, an elderly lady in a suit with a walking stick in the foreground, looking straight into the camera.
It was taken through the glass, and the door frames cut the picture into strips — the street reflected on the right, another guest standing on the left. At an opening that is the real reportage: not the display case, but who is standing in front of it. Black and white takes out the restlessness that shop lighting, daylight and reflections otherwise bring into one frame.
