In corporate pictures, work is usually represented by desks. Events show a different and more active side: people solve tasks, present results, exchange knowledge and celebrate what they achieved together.
Four productions show that side in four registers, from a hand on a machine to a product demonstration at a trade fair.
Four registers of the same thing
At the Honda European Skills Contest, technical handling and concentration were at the center of the frame. The Hörbiger TOP100 Meeting showed presentations, analysis and conversation in the room. La Biosthétique combined training with stage demonstrations, while fairs such as the Automechanika brought expertise and product presentation together.
Between the items on the agenda
The strongest subjects often appear between the official items on the agenda. A glance at a set of results, an unplanned discussion or the moment before a prize is handed over carries real involvement.
That can be prepared for even though it cannot be scheduled. Knowing the running order means knowing where the breaks fall, when a group stands together and at which point a result is said out loud for the first time.
What such a set does afterwards
This picture story shows working worlds not as a static environment but as social and professional processes, with people, content and visible results.
In everyday use afterwards, frames like these replace a lot of very different pictures. They illustrate specialist articles, carry job adverts, fill presentations and give an internal announcement a subject that did not come out of a database. More work is under event photography.
