An event trailer is more than a run of attractive moments. It has to connect people, place and occasion so that a viewer who was not there still understands how the day ran.
The order a viewer needs
So the work often begins with a shot that names the place or the event beyond doubt. Arrival, preparation, the items on the program, reactions and a close follow. Details such as hands, printed matter, glasses or trophies tie the larger scenes together and give the edit its rhythm.
Three trailers, three starting points
At Honda the story ran from the contest to the award show. For the Vogl anniversary the trailer joined the reception, the presentation of the jewelry and the speeches. The Meliá opening teaser, by contrast, had to charge a still empty place through light and camera movement alone.
What an edit cannot create afterwards
The structure is therefore built during the shoot. If a transition scene is missing, the edit cannot fully replace it later.
Finished films of this kind are under video production.
