A music video for "Wombolo", filmed in Zurich. The key shot is on a rooftop: five dancers in white long sleeves and black trousers, all in the same movement at the same moment, a cloudless sky and the industrial edge of the city behind them. Shooting abroad removes every buffer — you have the locations you researched beforehand and the days the crew traveled for.
For dance a parking deck is the best stage a city gives away for free: smooth ground, no obstacles, open sky and a skyline that names the place. The red parapets with their bay numbers give the line the group is set against.
With the sun high you shoot from below. A low camera makes jumps higher, cuts the ground away and sets the dancers against the sky — the only surface that stays quiet in that light.
After that being in sync is a matter of repetitions. Five people do not hit the same pose first time, and the edit needs the one take where everybody is right at once — so the same passage runs until it lands.
