What was photographed is the job that counts at a meeting like this: the group picture. Some forty executives in front of the site’s glass façade, the first row seated on chairs, two rows standing behind them, lanyards around their necks.
A group picture that size is a problem of time, not of light. Forty people with full calendars do not stand still for ten minutes — the arrangement, the camera position and the background have to be settled beforehand so the shot itself takes two minutes.
The glass façade is an advantage and a drawback at once. It reflects sky and surroundings and turns the wall behind the heads into a second picture; so the group stands far enough in front of it for the reflection to go soft, and in shade, so nobody has to squint.
