The best customer service teams in Germany were honored in a glittering ceremony at the Gibson Club in Frankfurt. Organized by Armonia, the “Elected Customer Service of the Year 2024” awards ceremony honored companies in various industries for outstanding service. The winners included Smart Europe GmbH, Kauf Unique.de, Rituals Cosmetics, Back Market, Lease a Bike, Vodafone and Ionos. Each company was recognized for its distinctive performance in areas such as efficiency, customer experience, innovation and technical support. The event also provided a platform for industry leaders to share and discuss the future of customer service.
The picture an awards evening runs towards is the group shot in the confetti: the winners with their trophies on stage, arms up, the screen with the mark behind them, partner logos left and right, the row of spotlights above.
Photographically, confetti is a window of a few seconds. It falls once, it falls in front of the faces, and autofocus prefers it to them — without focus set and the frame chosen in advance you end up with paper in the picture and nobody behind it.
The rest of the evening is craft with a list. Every awarded company needs its own frame with the trophy, a legible name and recognizable faces — an award you cannot attribute from the photograph is worthless to a press office.
