The year is coming to an end, and at Capco that means only one thing — it’s time for Capco Xmas 2022! This year’s Christmas at Capco promises to be a special event filled with community and celebration. Capco, a leader in financial technology, has always been distinguished by its strong community and teamwork. This year is no exception, and Capco Xmas 2022 is an opportunity for employees, customers and partners to come together and celebrate the achievements of the past year.
What was photographed is the moment before the evening: the hall of the venue with its glass front and concrete columns, the decorated tree on the right, the wall with the host’s mark on the left, guests in conversation between them — and projected snowflakes over all of it.
A projection is a trap for a camera. It lies as a pattern on walls, faces and clothing at the same time, it moves, and at a short shutter speed it turns into dots nobody reads as snow.
So with lighting like that the work happens from above: from the gallery, with the room as a whole in frame. At eye level it would be people with patches on their faces; from up there it is a hall with snow falling through it.
