In the luxury segment, quality often comes out of small details. A gemstone needs a precise highlight, dark paintwork a controlled reflection, and a boutique a calm composition in which the material and the brand stay visible.
Three brands, three requirements
The work around Bucherer, Juwelier Vogl and Bentley shows three different demands. Jewelry is photographed close up and under directed light. At an event, the same picture still has to let the room and the occasion be recognized. Automotive pictures, by contrast, need enough surroundings for car, place and use to tell one story together.
Restraint reads as more expensive than staging
Restraint is what decides it. Not every product has to fill the frame, and not every surface needs another light on it. A smaller subject in a carefully chosen setting often carries more exclusivity than an obvious piece of staging.
The stills from this work are under product photography, the moving versions under video production.
