Vietnam is a very popular destination for solo travelers and Hoi An in particular is a central place to start your Vietnam trip. The city is a melting pot of cultures and architecture. In Havana you can dance salsa with the locals in the evenings, enjoy the sunset with rhythmic sounds or ride horses through tobacco plantations. You should be prepared to have limited internet at times, but for that sacrifice you get a very authentic taste of local life - and indeed, not being able to access social media can be relaxing at times.

If you want to get rid of stress or your everyday life, Japan is ideal for your solo trip. Japan is often referred to as the best travel destination in the world because of its landscape, infrastructure, polite population and not least because of its high quality cuisine. When you are there, visiting an onsen can be a great experience. These are hot spring bathhouses located in traditional locations and are definitely worth a visit!
