A highlight film of a company party sensibly starts where the evening starts for the guests — and after that its job is to make as many of them as possible recognizable.
Two beach flags in floodlight in front of a dark building is a frame that exists only once: before the guests arrive. As soon as somebody stands in front of them it is no longer an arrival shot but a snapshot.
