Same-day photos: when the communication cannot wait until tomorrow

Published

While an event is still running, the first posts from guests and partners are already online. Organizers therefore often need professional pictures the same evening – for the press, for LinkedIn or for internal communication.

A fast selection works reliably when it is planned before the event. “A few pictures as quickly as possible” is too vague for that.

Which pictures are needed first

A list of priorities should be settled in advance, for example:

  • the venue and the visible title,
  • the welcome or the opening,
  • the keynote speaker,
  • one important item on the schedule,
  • audience and atmosphere,
  • partners or sponsors,
  • winners or guests of honor.

This selection is smaller than the report

The list is deliberately shorter than the full set. It covers what is needed the same evening and takes nothing away from the selection that follows.

A slot in the schedule, and a handover

Fast editing needs a realistic slot inside the schedule. Selecting, grading and transferring files do not happen at the same time as a stage moment that cannot be missed.

The recipient and the file format should be settled too. Press, LinkedIn and Instagram partly need different crops. One central contact keeps several people from sending conflicting requests in the middle of the event.

Fast does not mean unedited

Same-day frames get the same agreed color look as the later set. What differs is the scope and the speed. The rest of the pictures follow through the agreed gallery in the client portal.

Editing highlights on site can be chosen as an additional service with the inquiry, so it is part of the binding quote. The options are listed under additional services.
