Frankfurt is not only where I work; it is a city full of visual contrasts. Historic rooms sit a few minutes away from modern architecture. At the Westhafen, water and industrial history meet restaurants and companies, while above Sachsenhausen the skyline appears behind the windows of the Henninger Tower.
The places the work happened in
My productions took me to the Druckwasserwerk, the Frankfurter Botschaft, the Franziska, the Goldene Waage and onto the Zeil, among others. Company events, trade fairs, hotel openings and shoots at the airport came on top of that.
Every location asks for its own visual language
Each of them called for something different: warm available light in a restaurant, controlled perspectives in an interior, fast reactions at an event, and precise planning for film work.
My picture of this city
Together these projects add up to my personal picture of Frankfurt. It is not a classic city view but a collection of real places, people and productions – photographed in a city that keeps moving between tradition, business and an international everyday life.
