Concert photography and video coverage of SYNTHONY No. 1 at the Jahrhunderthalle in Frankfurt on 29 September 2025 — an evening where dance music classics are played by an orchestra, "Don’t You Worry Child" among them. Photographically that is two stages in one: a seated orchestra, a conductor in motion, and a light show programmed to the beat rather than to the camera. Stills and film were made in the same run.

The announcement artwork for the evening already shows what the pictures afterwards have to deliver: conductor, singer and audience in one montage, with the line “A Generation of Dance Music”. A concert report that shows only the stage tells half of that.

An orchestra and a club show ask for opposite exposures. A desk of strings sits in even light and holds still; the light show jumps on the beat and moves the brightness by several stops in fractions of a second. Expose for the stage and the orchestra is gone, and the other way round.

Stills and film in the same run also means every position counts twice. A place that is good for a frame has to work for a move as well, and a pan must not end where the next photograph is about to be made.
