Review – Kivotos Santorini Luxury & Breathtaking Views

During our stay on Santorini, we spent 4 nights at Kivotos Santorini. It was our first time on the island and we weren’t quite sure what to expect from the whole trip. Sure, we thought there must be some beautiful places and the overall geography of the island is quite interesting, but we were a bit afraid of average hotels for mass tourism. Kivotos looked very unique to us, with an attractive location to explore the island. That’s why we gave it a try and would like to share our experiences with you.
Arrival at Kivotos Santorini
After arriving at the airport in Santorini, we took a taxi to the hotel. Since the island is very small, we reached the hotel after just 15 minutes and were able to start our stay in 25 degree weather.
Arrival and Check-In at Kivotos Santorini
Without any waiting times, we were able to get our keys immediately. The staff was well prepared and brought our bags to our room after a short time. One offer we did not accept was a tour of the entire property.
About the Hotel
Kivotos Santorini is an exclusive boutique hotel that is quite unique among the other local hotels built in recent years. With its black and modern exterior walls, it stands out from the rest of the landscape and offers a beautiful view.
The hotel has a total of 4 suites and 3 villas. With this rather small size, we did not encounter too many people on the property and were able to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere at all times.
A highlight is certainly the incredible view from the hotel terrace where the restaurant is located.
Our Executive Suite at Kivotos Santorini
We spent a total of 4 nights in the Executive Suite, which is spread over 2 floors. On the ground floor, next to the entrance, there is a balcony where we enjoyed daily breakfast while watching the sunrise.
The upper floor, the bedroom and another balcony with private sun loungers and a breathtaking view of the sea and sunset made us not want to leave the suite for some time. Especially at night this was our favorite spot, as there was also a Jacuzzi on the balcony.
The Terrace and Dining at Kivotos Santorini
Every morning, breakfast was brought to our room, featuring a huge selection of fresh fruits, pastries, and delicious sweets. We could even choose our meal preferences!
Sunset dinner at the restaurant was a major highlight of the entire trip with fabulous food paired with a unique atmosphere.
Final Thoughts
All in all, we truly enjoyed our stay at Kivotos. The modern hotel, combined with top-tier service and the unique location overlooking the Caldera, offers everything you could wish for a relaxing stay in Santorini.
