What the coaching covers

A one-to-one session goes through the areas that interest you — not a fixed program, but whatever you are currently stuck on. The four subjects that come up most often: photography and equipment, lighting, the editing workflow in Lightroom and Photoshop, and planning your own projects.

There are three shapes to it. Equipment buying advice takes about 15 minutes: you name your requirements, your goal and your budget, and I recommend what fits. A photography review takes about an hour — you show your best pictures and get an honest assessment with concrete places to start. And online coaching runs in sessions of about an hour too, working through your questions one at a time.

Online or in person — you choose in the form. In person means the Rhine-Main region: Rüsselsheim am Main, or wherever the subject belongs. Frankfurt for architecture and street, the Rheingau and the Taunus for landscape, the studio for light and portraiture. Wiesbaden, Mainz and Darmstadt are short trips; anything beyond that works online.
